
At Beauty in the Brow we have introduced ‘Lip Blush’ This Technique can help you achieve flawless lips and stop lipstick from bleeding! With Permanent Makeup, we first choose a colour from our palette ranging from natural lip tones to bright shades that complement your skin tone.
The treatment is performed in steps, first we outline your lips, then with our Shading technique we blend the colour onto your lip to give you a perfect pout!
Once completed, you will have perfectly applied, constant lip colour. You’ll never have to apply lipstick again even after eating, exercising or kissing! This treatment is popular with women who want to create a fuller, defined lips. It’s also good for clients who wish to cover or disguise lip scarring, colour loss or un even lip line.
PRECARE
In order to achieve the best results, it is best to follow the pre and post care instructions.
Prior to your procedure, clients are advised of the following:
Avoid any food or drinks which have colouring in on the day of having lip blush procedure (e.g. red wine, beetroot, tumeric, fresh juices)
- Gently exfoliate the lips the night before and apply a hydrating balm at nighttime. This allows the lips to be prepared for the treatment.
AFTERCARE
Following your lip blush aftercare instructions is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT for best results!
The lips will go through a healing process and can look light on some days, dark on other days, they may scab or go patchy. This is all normal and part of the body’s way of healing itself. You will see the true result of colour after 4-6 weeks in which we can perform the touch up procedure and add colour if required.
Avoid drinking hot drinks or anything salty or spicy.
Before brushing teeth, apply healing balm first.
Apply healing balm constantly for the 5-7 days.
If you suffer from cold sores you must take Acciclovir medication prior to treatment and after.
Avoid exercise for 3 days, including yoga.
Avoid swimming and saunas for 2 weeks.
Avoid sunbeds or sunbathing for 1 month.
Always wear SPF lip balm, especially when in the sun.
For 28-32 days:
- Do not attempt a touch up procedure before 4-6 weeks.
- Do not have filler.
- Do not have a chemical peel.
- Do not whiten your teeth. accordingly.
FAQs
Between 12-18months depending on the skin type and how you look after them. A lip Spf balm is recommended to stop any fading.
Top ups are recommended between the 12 and 18 month period to keep the colour looking fresh.
We sit down during your consultation to look at the colour chart depending on factors like your skin tone and hair colour, we choose a colour and tone that will suit you the best.
You will experience little to no pain during this procedure anaesthetic is used to numb the area.
There is no downtown for this procedure but some aftercare advice is given regarding dos and don’t immediately after the treatment and for the coming weeks whilst the heal.
